It’s very frustrating to see various studios and actors on hand to promote their latest movies and TV shows. I would understand if these shows were comics-related or comics-friendly (Battlestar Galactica, Buffy the Vampire Slayer, etc) but many weren’t. For example, Will Ferrell made an unannounced appearance to promote his election movie comedy and many TV networks were on hand to showcase their fall TV line-up. At this point, San Diego Comic-Con shouldn’t call itself “Comic-Con” since comics were nowhere to be seen.
